F A Q
How long does framing take?
Most framing requires approximately two weeks, depending on materials needed.  Clients
will customarily drop off projects with our designers.  Multiple design options will be set up
prior to the next visit for the client to chose from, which in turn saves time.  However, if you
are pressed for time, please let us know...we try to accommodate every need.

Does my artwork stay in your store while it is being framed?
We take pride in our on-site workshop by cutting all mats, glazing and moulding ourselves;
however situations sometimes require that the artwork be sent out (with client's approval),
for procedures that are not available in house.  When this happens, the artwork is fully
insured and handled with the utmost care.

Do you frame textiles?
Yes. We frame all types of fabric art and needlework including cross stitch, needlepoint,
crewel, hooked rugs and tapestry.

Will you frame my artwork using a frame I bring to you?
Absolutely, providing the frame does not have to be altered to fit the artwork.

Can you frame 3-dimensional objects or do shadowbox framing?
We specialize in shadow boxes and have framed collections such as fishing lures, military
medals, jewelery, christening gowns, sports jerseys, antique flags, political and civil union/
wedding memorabilia.  Each and every design is truly a unique work of art.

What does framing cost?
Custom Picture Framing costs do not always reflect the value of the artwork.  A piece of art
that was purchased for $1,500 and is framed for $200 seems like a bargain compared to a
piece of art that was purchased for $35 and framed for $200.  It is the custom picture
framing that compliments the artwork and brings value of its own.  Prices vary with size,
framing procedures used and design elements chosen for your particular art piece.  All
design and price quotes are free of charge.  So come in, bring your artwork, and explore
your
options.

Hypothetical Framing Situation
Here we have a print image size of 17 1/2" x 13 3/4".  We are using a 2-mat (double mat)
design, using 3" of top mat while showing 3/16" of the under color, which would end up as a
total 3 3/16" of mat shown about the image.  The overall matted size then becomes 23 7/8" x
20 1/8".  The moulding (frame) shown is 1 3/4", thereby adding 3 1/2" to the overall size,
making the completed finished size 27 3/8" x 23 5/8".
Using the materials
shown, the "Ready To
Hang on the Wall" price
would be $164.65,
pre-tax.  Should you
choose the same
materials but the image
size is larger, the price
would be greater.
However if the image size
is less, of course the
price would be less.
Using these same materials, should you choose a single-mat design, the cost would be
decreased; whereas a triple-mat option would be more.  As in all framing projects, we use the
finest and highest quality acid-free mats and backing boards available.  In this particular
design we used UV filtering glass, which protects your artwork from fading.  However, you can
opt to use regular glass for a lesser cost, provided the artwork is fade-resistant or is low in
sentimental or monetary value.  Many times customers will call asking for a framing cost, but
due to the amount of variables in mats and moulding, it is difficult to guess at pricing without
you choosing specific selections that are best for your project.
